Steve Newman joined the Office for National Statistics (ONS) as Chief Financial Officer in July 2005. Prior to ONS, he spent many years as Finance Director of different companies - mainly in the leisure sector.

Steve is a qualified accountant and has a degree from Lancaster University in Accounting and Finance.
