We also welcome applications from candidates who do not have a degree but can demonstrate at least two years experience in a statistics-related field, plus Continuing Professional Development in a relevant area which has led to the acquisition the RSS higher certificate.

What competencies are we looking for in a Statistical Officer?

  • Ability to communicate, particularly statistical or technical ideas
  • Teamworking skills
  • Personal effectiveness
  • Ability to deliver results

Candidates who have already been seen at the interview stage during the 2012 recruitment will not be eligible to apply, as candidates may only be seen once during the year.

Fast Stream candidates who pass SAC but fail FSAC may be offered a StO position without further assessment, providing their FSAC score meets a minimum criteria and StO posts are available.
