Post-Doctoral Scientist, Farm Systems Analysis
Dr Jim Hammond has worked for ten years in sustainable development and agricultural systems, currently for the International Livestock Research Institute. Jim’s recent work has been building user-friendly, efficient tools for interviewing smallholder farming households. The RHOMIS tool has been used now in 22 countries by 15 organisations. The data collected can be used to report on internationally recognised indicators, such as those used in SDGs 1, 2, and 5, and the data can also be used to assess impacts of changed practices on human welfare. Integrated data processing and visualisation features make analyses quick and useful.
