Assistant Director in the International Cooperation and Methodology Innovation Centre at Statistics Canada
Susie Fortier is an Assistant Director in the International Cooperation and Methodology Innovation Centre at Statistics Canada, where she manages the Statistical Methodology Research and Development Program. She is interested in the evolution of the technical skills required to address today’s challenges in National Statistical Offices as well as in action-oriented approaches to build statistical capacities. Her personal research interests focus on data science and machine learning, time series, confidentiality, and data quality. Susie is also the production manager of the scientific journal Survey Methodology. She received a Bachelor degree in statistics and a Masters degree in mathematics from the Université de Sherbrooke.
