Statistics are designated as National Statistics through the Assessment process. This page contains guidance about assessment and designation.
The Office for Statistics Regulation is currently reviewing this page with two aims:
- to provide producers of official statistics with guidance about assessment and compliance with the Code that is easy to navigate and will better support learning
- to reflect the outcomes of an internal review to shift significantly the look, feel and tone of our core assessment activities of our core assessment activities.
