Health and Care Interventions

The UK Statistics Authority Regulation Business Plan 2016/17 includes plans to continue with our strategic review to drive improvement in health and care statistics with the aim of maximising the value of official statistics to the UK public. All aspects of our work in respect of health and care statistics are brought together here.

Round Table

In February 2016 the Authority convened a meeting – a Round Table – of many of the leaders of the English health and care system to discuss how English health and care statistics could be enhanced to better serve the public good.

Better Statistics Better Decisions Health and Care Summit

A key next step emerging from the first Round Table meeting was a Better Statistics Better Decisions Health and Care Summit, held on 8 July 2016. Details of the outcomes from the event can be found here.

Latest from the Director General for Regulation

The Round Table identified some key themes and strategic questions around the challenges facing health and care statistics. The Director General for Regulation will regularly reflect on progress to meet these challenges. His latest blog reflects on the July Summit.
