Agriculture and Environment
The Agriculture and Environment theme covers statistics on food and farming, the natural environment, animal and plant health, flooding and water, fisheries, and environmental quality.
We have recently carried out several pieces of work on agriculture and environment statistics. We have:
- reviewed compliance of Defra statistics on tuberculosis in cattle in Great Britain
- reviewed compliance of Defra statistics on total income from farming in the UK
- re-instated the National Statistics status of Defra statistics on milk utilisation, following a review by Defra of its methodology and quality assurance processes
We are also scoping a project to look at the public value of statistics on agriculture and the environment. We will publish an outline of our approach when available.
